You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Let's work together towards meaningful change.

My Story

My passion for counseling began while serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) during my undergraduate studies at LSU. Through this experience, I developed a deeper understanding of the connection between mental health, education, and an individual's ability to thrive. This inspired me to earn a Master of Education with a specialization in School Counseling from LSU.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) in Louisiana, with a background in school counseling dating back to 2010. In 2022, I expanded my practice to include teletherapy for adults, allowing me to support clients as they navigate life's challenges and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

One of the most rewarding parts of being a counselor is helping people become the person they want to be and develop a genuine sense of pride in who they are. My approach focuses on helping clients recognize unhelpful patterns, build healthier habits, and make choices that reflect their values and the life they want to create. I am especially interested in the brain's neuroplasticity and its remarkable ability to adapt and grow. By understanding how our thoughts and behaviors shape our experiences, we can begin to develop new ways of thinking, respond to challenges differently, and create meaningful change.

My perspective on personal growth is also shaped by my own life experiences. Like many people, I've experienced seasons that challenged me to look more closely at my values, behaviors, and the person I want to become. I've learned that personal growth often means taking the time to understand what truly matters to us, letting go of outside expectations, and making choices that reflect who we genuinely want to be. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the courage it takes to grow, change, and become more comfortable with who we are.

My faith is an important part of my life and continues to shape the way I see the world. It has taught me about surrender, humility, and trusting in God, even when the path forward is difficult. I believe faith can be a meaningful source of strength and hope for those who wish to incorporate it into counseling.

My hope is that you feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow into the person you want to be. You don't have to have everything figured out to begin.
